There will be changes in operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres on May holidays
"Rīgas satiksme" informs that there will be changes in the operation of public transport, parking lots and customer service centres, as well as in the use of workdays tickets on May holidays.
On May 1, 2, 3 and 4 public transport (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to the holiday schedule. Minibuses will run on May 1, 3 and 4 according to Sunday’s schedule, and on May 2 according to Saturday’s schedule.
The night transport traffic will be organised in the night of May 1/2 and May 2/3. We also remind that tickets in the night transport are only sold by drivers; the price of one ticket is EUR 2.00.
Those passengers having bought monthly tickets for workdays should take into account that these tickets will not be valid on May 1 and 4.
On May 1 and 4 all customer service centres of "Rīgas satiksme" will be closed. On Saturday, May 2, all customer service centres will be open according to Saturday’s schedule (from 10:00 till 16:00), except for the customer service centre at Brīvības Street 49/53, which will be closed on this day. On Sunday, May 3, one customer service centre, at Spīķeru Street 1, will be open (from 10:00 till 16:00).
We draw your attention to the fact that on April 30 the customer service centre of "Rīgas satiksme" at Brīvības Street 49/53 will be open from 8:00 till 17:00, and other customer service centres will be open on April 30 as usually, from 9:00 till 19:00.
On May 1 and 4 paid municipal parking lots of Riga municipality operated by "Rīgas satiksme" will be available free of charge, except for the underground parking lot at K.Valdemāra Street 5a, next to the House of Congresses, where parking services will have to be paid according to the existing tariffs. On May 2 parking services will cost like on Saturdays (from 6:00 till 24:00 in Old Riga and from 8:00 till 20:00 in Vecāķi, other parking lots from 9:00 till 17:00), and on May 3 like on Sundays (from 6:00 till 24:00 in Old Riga and from 8:00 till 20:00 in Vecāķi).
